BUILDING

PROJECT RESTORATION-The Mt. Rose Seventh-day Adventist Elementary School

Between July and October, the organization proudly refurbished the preschool bathroom at Grenada SDA Elementary School with the support of our dedicated donors. This bathroom had been closed for over ten years, forcing children to use facilities outside their classroom. We replaced both toilets and sinks, added a shower, installed a new roof, laid tiles, and painted both the interior and exterior. The estimated cost of the project was approximately $25,000 EC.

BACK TO SCHOOL

BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLY PROGRAM

From August 2014 to August 2024, our organization successfully provided back-to-school supplies to every child in the Mt. Rose community, from birth through their high school years, covering areas from Pointzfield River to the old LaTaste Post Office. This program took place in the community park, where children enjoyed a fun-filled day featuring a bouncy house, trampoline, face painting, games, and snacks. During the pandemic, we adapted our approach to ensure that children still received the necessary supplies and support while prioritizing their health and safety.Additionally, we launched the Student Enrollment Growth Initiative at GSDACS, which ran for three years, and sponsored Math Month at Grenada Seventh-day Adventist Comprehensive School for five years as part of this program.

CHRISTMAS

CHRISTMAS

"Christmas is doing a little something extra for someone.”~Charles M. Schulz. On December 18th, 2014, The Mt. Rose Project Inc. successfully hosted its inaugural Kiddies Christmas Extravaganza in collaboration with a local support group. The executive team organized bouncy castles, quizzes, piñatas, refreshments, music, and a Christmas tree. Thanks to our generous sponsors, we distributed new, unwrapped toys to over one hundred infants and children up to age eleven. In 2020, the organization proudly held the event a second time by going house to house, delivering wrapped toys, mask, hand sanitizer and snacks to children.
